Julia De Kwant

Julia acquired an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo, majoring in History and Visual Culture. She has recently obtained a Master of Arts degree in Art History and Visual Culture from York University with a diploma in Curatorial Studies. Throughout her Studies, Julia specialized in historical Canadian art with a concentration in Toronto artists and exhibiting spaces. 

During her Master’s program, Julia interned with Cowley Abott, supporting client services, administration, and inventory management. Julia is thrilled to be expanding her role with Cowley Abbott, passionately supporting the firm’s commitment to excellence and customer service. 

Julia’s professional career in arts and culture encompasses roles in both museum and gallery settings. She has held roles in curatorial and collections management, research, and most recently in education and programming design. 

As a postgraduate, Julia continues her passion for the arts through exhibition reviews. She is excited to further her contributions to the arts and cultural sector through her critical writing.
