From the Collection of Robert Noakes

Robert Noakes was a renowned professional designer whose career spanned over fifty years. A beloved and colourful character, his eye for detail, passion, and expertise greatly enriched the lives of his clients, family, and friends. In 1970, he established Robert Noakes Design in a small coach house in Toronto before founding Robert Noakes International Limited as his firm and stature grew. Robert’s eclectic and vibrant showroom was a reflection of his style, and his home was equally impressive. He selected his prized possessions with the same dedication and knowledge he provided to his clients over the decades. Robert had a particular passion for art, which led him to amass a collection of over 250 works by Canadian and international artists. Cowley Abbott is honoured to have been entrusted to sell this important collection from such a leading figure in Toronto.
